Girl in the Attic is a short suspense/thriller visual novel that I created for the 20 Second Game Jam. This game is my first full visual novel game that doesn't include any experimental gameplay element. It's partly inspired by the original story of Naughty Laundry and just got caught up in my imagination.
Depending on the response to this game, I might expand it, add more content, and make a full version, among other possibilities.
Girl in the Attic's gameplay is your typical multi-path visual novel. It's purely a visual novel experience and has a complete focus on an immersive narrative experience.
The current version currently has 3 endings.

Although I always thought that was kind of weird... Let me explain:
Because don't you think he would notice his "perfectly made sandwich" made for work or whatever reason for tomorrow went missing out of the refrigerator suddenly overnight?.
I'm just saying, I don't just make a sandwich the night before and forget about it lol... She's going to get caught either way if those are her only options... Especially over time.
And she could have just made ramen from searing hot water out of the sink. I've done it loads of times. No cooking involved. What, is his hot water not running?. xD. She really is an idiot lol.
Although not very nutritional, a missing cup of Ramen is a lot less noticeable than a premade sandwich. At least it will be something to fill her belly with.

Suppose it depends on the faucet. Some are quiet. Some are not. Plus if you run the water on the walls of the sink the water won't make noise when it hits the bottom and is quiet.
Ah well. It's just a game after all. But it's fun to think about. ^_^
The game is beautiful and there is a real feeling of tension, but this is not 20 second long...
I'm sure a speed runner could do it. I was able to get a ending in 26seconds. Close enough ^_^
Love the concept! Not sure if you have a bigger narrative behind it in mind, but if not, I definitely think that some elements of mystery (around the girl's past and Mr. Klein's house) and some character development for the girl would be great! Then, the player can piece together her past as she pieces together strange happenings and clues in the house that she's staying in, all leading to her making several crucial decisions as she grows in her character.
Also, not sure if you wanna make it an adult game, but if the story is gripping enough, you could probably reserve adult elements for a Patreon version, and the base game could be fully developed but non-H.
